All You Need to Know About Actron Air Conditioner Components

All You Need to Know About Actron Air Conditioner Components

Actron is regarded as a homegrown brand that specializes in air conditioning designs for Australian products that are well-suited to the Australian environment. The company sells a wide range of air conditioning systems, such as wall-mounted splits, cassettes, multi-head units, split ducted systems, low-profile ducted systems, and packaged AC units.

Despite having a strong reputation throughout Australia, Actron Air started as a family owned shop back in 1984. Today there are various Actron dealers.

The various components of an air conditioner work in synchronization to give cold or hot air to the room. The components of ActronAir keep your system operating efficiently, safely, and effectively. As they are usually made using higher-quality materials.

The main parts of an air conditioning system are as follows.

1. Evaporator coil

The evaporator coil is positioned in the interior unit of a mini-split air conditioner. Refrigerant is there inside the evaporator coil. Just before reaching the evaporator coils, the refrigerant, which is now flowing through the system, is cooled to a low temperature. To remove heat and cool the air, your HVAC system pulls warm air from your home and blows it over cool evaporator coils. The cold air is then circulated within your house by fans that are situated behind the evaporator coil, lowering the temperature.

These coils can also be constructed of steel or aluminium but are often made of copper. Due to its superior heat conductivity and ease of fabrication, copper is the material of choice.

2. Compressor

The compressor is the workhorse of air conditioning and is possibly the most significant of all air conditioner components. The compressor for central and split systems is an external unit. The compressor, which is often the most expensive component of the system, is the main energy consumer for an air conditioner.

Low-pressure gas is transformed into high-pressure gas by the compressor and refrigerant. After leaving the compressor, the high-pressure gas enters the condenser coil.

3. Condenser Coil

The condenser coil, which is the evaporator's opposite, extracts heat from the refrigerant and releases it into the environment outside. It is the hot air that you often experience in an external unit/outside part of your air conditioner.

With a fan pushing heat away from it, the evaporator coil operates efficiently; opposite to the condenser. This is the heat being released by the condenser when the refrigerant transitions from a hot vapour to a hot liquid.

4. Expansion Valve

Another tiny device known as an expansion valve is located between the condenser and evaporator. The refrigerant can no longer absorb the heat since it has changed state to a liquid. The refrigerant experiences a reduction in pressure at the expansion valve, where it expands into gas and rapidly cools.

The air conditioning cycle is then repeated using this gaseous, cooled refrigerant in the evaporator coils.

5. Air Filter

The air handler unit of the air conditioner is often where you'll find the air filter. The filter captures dirt, dust, and other tiny particles to safeguard the air conditioner's internal components and enhance indoor air quality. As a blocked filter can cause additional wear and tear on your equipment, it's crucial to clean your air filter regularly.

6. Thermostat

The thermostat, which is perhaps the most well-known part of an air conditioning system, allows you to choose how cool you want your house to be. You will be able to manually or automatically set the temperature you want, depending on the type of your air conditioner. Even better, you may upgrade to a smart thermostat that you can operate online or with your phone.

Actron Air always gives you quality air solutions. As Actron has a superb reputation for effectiveness and quality.
